ADD and Anxiety

Have you ever heard of ADD?  Have you ever heard of Anxiety?  How about the two of them?  You can be diagnosed with both of them.  One of the shared symptoms of these two disorders is difficulty with concentration.  ADD or Attention Deficit Disorder is hallmarked by inability to concentrate.  Anxiety also is characterized by poor concentration.  Someone once said to me after taking medication that there brain felt “on” for the first time in their life. 

Other issues that people with ADD and Anxiety experience are problems with school performance.  Here are some symptoms of ADD and Anxiety in the school setting:   appearance of hyperactivity or restlessness, recurring frustration, trouble comprehending academic material, irritability.  Similar problems occur in the work environment.  Supervisors complain that an employee can not multitask.  They seem easily distracted and agitated by the demands of the job and co-workers.

There is no reason to suffer. People often mistake having these issues for inadequacies.  Getting treatment is not an indication that you have a problem.  It means that with a little assistance you can make day
